You read right, it’s called Zero Compassion, Chili Ninja’s latest addition of rectum tearing, roller coaster riding, crying for your mom, chili sauce bonanza!
To made this joyful experience apart of your life, just follow the simple steps below.
- 14 x Chilies. I am unsure of the name of the chili’s that I used, you can see them in the picture below. The heat is close to birds eye chili’s if not hotter.
- 8 x Cloves of garlic
- 1 x tbs Olive oil
- 1 x Large onion
- 1 x tbs Fresh grated ginger
- 1 x litre Passion fruit juice (I used from concentrate)
- 2 x tsp Chili powder
- 1 x tsp Cumin
- 2 x tsp Paprika
- 2 x tbs Chili flakes
- 1 x tsp Pepper
- 1 x tbs Salt
- 2 x tbs Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Apple cider vinegar
Heat the oven to 200 °C. Put the chilies and peeled garlic cloves on a baking tray and bake for 20 mins. Once done let them cool. When cooled remove the stems from the chilies. Chop chilies and garlic roughly and put in a large pot with the olive oil on a medium heat. Chop the onion and add to the pot along with the ginger, chili powder, cumin and paprika. Add 200ml passion fruit juice and simmer for 10mins.
After 10mins add another 200ml passion fruit juice along with the chili flakes. Keep simmering and stirring while adding more passion fruit as needed every 10 – 20mins until everything has been poured into the pot.
Add the pepper, salt, vinegar and sugar and simmer for another 20 mins while stirring regularly.
Take the pot off the heat and let it cool for 30mins. Put the sauce in a blender and blend until smooth.
Decant into bottles, let cool completely and let the fun begin!
